The cosmopolitan is a vodka based cocktail with triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice.

Informally, it is referred to as a Cosmo, but whilst it may be pink, this is a cocktail to be taken seriously! Not overly sweet or fruity, but a slightly tart and a well-balanced cocktail.

First created in America during the 1970s and rose to fame in the 1990s through the popularity of Sex and the City.

Serving Suggestion: Shake with ice before straining into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a twist of lime. Traditionally a coin sized piece of orange peel should be “flamed” across the top to coat the drink with the aroma of citrus oil.
